By accessing Zone21, creating an account, listing an event, purchasing a ticket, booking a service, registering as a service provider, or using any Zone21 service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use Zone21.

1. Definitions

For purposes of these Terms:

  • “Zone21” means Zone21 Events and its applicable divisions, including Zone21 Security.
  • “Platform” means the Zone21 website, application, software, systems and related digital services.
  • “Organizer” means a person, company, organization or other entity responsible for organizing or promoting an Event.

  • “Event” means an event listed, promoted, ticketed, planned, managed or otherwise supported through Zone21.
  • “Ticket” means a ticket issued or facilitated through Zone21 for admission to an Event.

2. Zone21’s Role

Zone21 operates as an event ecosystem and technology/service platform. Depending on the transaction, Zone21 may act as:

  • A technology platform;
  • A ticketing provider;
  • A ticketing facilitator or agent acting on behalf of an Organizer;
  • An event‑management company;
  • A service‑provider marketplace;
  • An event coordinator;
  • A marketing platform;
  • A security‑services provider or coordinator;
  • A facilitator between independent parties.

Zone21 is not automatically the organizer of every Event listed on the Platform. Where an Event is independently organized by an Organizer, the Organizer remains responsible for the Event unless Zone21 has expressly agreed in writing to assume specific management responsibilities.

3. Event Organizer Responsibility

The Organizer remains responsible for the actual Event, including where applicable:

  • Venue arrangements;
  • Event permits;
  • Licences;
  • Performers;
  • Entertainment;
  • Event capacity;
  • Health and safety;
  • Crowd management;
  • Security;
  • Medical arrangements;
  • Fire‑safety arrangements;
  • Food and beverage compliance;
  • Advertising;
  • Taxes and applicable fees;
  • Government requirements;
  • Event staff;
  • Event operations.

Zone21 may assist with these matters where specifically contracted to do so.

4. Organizer Registration

Organizers must provide accurate and complete information. Zone21 may request reasonable information or documentation, including:

  • Identification;
  • Company information;
  • Contact information;
  • Venue confirmation;
  • Event permits;
  • Licences;
  • Banking information;
  • Other information necessary to verify the Organizer or Event.

Providing false or misleading information may result in suspension or termination.

5. Event Approval

Zone21 may review an Event before publishing it. Zone21 may request additional information or documentation before approving an Event. Zone21 may decline, delay, suspend or remove an Event where it reasonably believes that the Event:

  • Presents a significant safety risk;
  • May be fraudulent;
  • May violate applicable law;
  • Contains materially misleading information;
  • Creates significant legal or reputational risk;
  • Does not meet Zone21 requirements.

Approval by Zone21 does not mean that Zone21 guarantees the legality, quality, safety or success of the Event.

6. Ticketing Services

Where Zone21 provides ticketing services: Zone21 is selling and/or facilitating tickets on behalf of the Event Organizer unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing. The Organizer remains responsible for:

  • The Event;
  • The venue;
  • Event programming;
  • Performers;
  • Admission;
  • Security;
  • Health and safety;
  • Event staff;
  • Honoring valid tickets;
  • Event cancellation or postponement;
  • Applicable refund obligations.

Zone21’s provision of ticketing technology does not automatically make Zone21 the promoter or organizer of the Event.

7. 2% Zone21 Ticketing Commission

Zone21 charges a 2% commission on every ticket sold through the Zone21 Platform. The 2% commission is calculated on the ticket price paid by the customer for each ticket sold through Zone21, unless a separate written agreement expressly provides otherwise.

Example: If a ticket costs US$100, Zone21 commission (2%) is US$2, and the balance before other deductions is US$98.

The 2% ticketing commission applies to tickets successfully sold through the Zone21 Platform.

8. Ticket Settlement

Where Zone21 receives ticket payments on behalf of an Organizer, Zone21 may deduct its 2% ticketing commission before transferring the applicable balance to the Organizer. Zone21 may also deduct or withhold amounts that are properly payable in connection with:

  • Refunds;
  • Chargebacks;
  • Payment reversals;
  • Fraudulent transactions;
  • Applicable payment‑processing charges;
  • Other agreed fees.

Settlement will occur according to the agreed settlement schedule. Zone21 may temporarily delay settlement where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, chargebacks, payment disputes, suspicious transactions, refund claims, or other legitimate payment concerns.

9. Ticket Sales are Generally Final

IMPORTANT CUSTOMER NOTICE: Tickets purchased through Zone21 are generally non‑refundable. If a customer changes their mind, cannot attend, has another commitment, experiences personal circumstances, cannot travel to the venue, arrives late, or chooses not to attend – the ticket will generally not be refunded, except where a refund is required by applicable law or expressly provided under the applicable Event or refund policy. Customers are responsible for checking the Event date, time, venue, ticket type and price before completing their purchase.

10. Event Cancellation and Refunds

If an Organizer cancels an Event, the Organizer must notify Zone21 immediately. Zone21 may communicate the cancellation to ticket holders. Where a refund is legally required or otherwise agreed, the Organizer remains responsible for legitimate refund obligations arising from its cancellation or failure to provide the Event, subject to applicable law. Where Zone21 is acting only as a ticketing platform or agent, Zone21 is not automatically responsible for funding refunds from its own funds for an Event it did not organize. Zone21 may assist with processing refunds on behalf of the Organizer where appropriate.

11. Postponed Events

If an Event is postponed, the Organizer must notify Zone21 immediately. Zone21 may communicate the new Event date and relevant information to ticket holders. The treatment of existing tickets and any applicable refund rights will be determined according to applicable law and the relevant Event policy.

12. Ticket Fraud and Misuse

Tickets may not be duplicated, counterfeited, altered, fraudulently resold, obtained through fraudulent payment, used multiple times, or modified to deceive Zone21 or Event staff. Zone21 and/or the Organizer may invalidate fraudulent, duplicated or otherwise invalid tickets. Zone21 is not responsible for tickets purchased from unauthorized third parties.

15. Independent Service Providers

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Service Providers are independent contractors and are not employees, partners or agents of Zone21. A Service Provider is responsible for the services it supplies to a Client. Zone21 does not automatically guarantee the quality, availability, performance or future conduct of an independent Service Provider.

16. Service Provider Application and Verification

A Service Provider may be required to provide: full legal name, business name, identification, contact details, business information, service description, pricing, portfolio, qualifications, licences, insurance information where relevant, references or other verification information. These may include subscription fees, listing fees, lead‑generation fees, booking fees, commission, promotional fees, or other agreed fees. Any applicable fee will be communicated to the Service Provider before it becomes payable.

21. Client Non‑Circumvention

This includes intentionally concealing a booking, payment or transaction that originated through Zone21. Where a separate Service Provider Agreement contains more specific non‑circumvention provisions, those provisions will also apply.

22. Organizer Non‑Circumvention

An Organizer must not deliberately circumvent Zone21’s agreed fees by taking Zone21‑generated transactions off the Platform for the purpose of avoiding applicable Zone21 charges. This includes deliberately concealing ticket sales or transactions that originated through Zone21.

Zone21 does not guarantee that an Event can be delivered for an estimated amount.
